Your text
Everything the site does with your words happens inside your browser: converting them, decoding styled text back to plain letters, checking which letters blur, turning numbers into Roman numerals, and drawing the images you save or print. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else, and none of it is kept after you close the page.
When you press Copy, the site writes that text to your clipboard. It never reads your clipboard.
What is stored on your device
Two small settings are saved in your browser's local storage, only after you choose them:
- Theme, if you switch between light and dark.
- Pinned styles, if you star a style to keep it at the top.
They never leave your device, and clearing your browser's site data removes them. The site works the same without them, including in a private window.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. The fonts are served from this domain, so loading a page makes no request to Google Fonts or any other font service. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles each request and processes technical details such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse, and may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it needs to check that a visitor is not automated. We do not use any of this to identify or track you. Cloudflare's own handling is described in its privacy policy.
If you email us
Writing to hello@oldenglishgenerator.com gives us your email address and whatever you put in the message. We use them only to reply and to fix what you reported, never for marketing, and we do not share them.
Links to other sites
Some pages link to font foundries, Google Fonts or Microsoft's documentation. Those sites have their own policies, which apply once you follow a link.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data from using the site, there is usually nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, ask at the same address and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date above.
